Scores of outsourced staff members of the State Housing Corporation implementing the Indiramma Housing Scheme, observed a relay fast on Tuesday to press their 10-point charter of demands including regularisation of their services.
The protestors under the banner of CITU-led Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation outsourced work inspectors, computer operators union raised slogans demanding scrapping of the outsourcing system.
The agitators who included data entry operators, accounts assistants, IT managers, computer operators running rural and urban housing of the Union and State Governments, pressed for payment increased pay pending for over three months.
“It is unfortunate that though Provident Fund (PF) deductions have been made from their salaries, the same have not been reflected in their PF accounts for the last years'', alleged Union District Secretary D. Mosalaiah while leading the protest.
